Preliminary thoughts:
• Do you have a Passport?
• Passport must be valid through July 2012
• You will need a Yellow Fever immunization to enter the country (local health department)
• Suggested immunizations: Typhoid, Polio, updated Tetnus, etc… (your primary care physician may provide these, or there are travel clinics available in most large cities)
• Malaria Prevention: there will be several options prescribed by your primary care physician
• VISAs will be required from the Sierra Leone Embassy in Washington DC

• Physical therapy
• Dental assistant
• Agricultural work

Airfare:
• This runs in the neighborhood of $2000
VISA:
• Applications will be mailed by team leaders, several documents required, cost is $131 for the VISA and $36.50 priority postage fees
Ground expenses for 10 days/nights in Sierra Leone:
• Room accommodation plus breakfast - $25 per day
• Two additional meals each day - $20
• Transportation to ministry site - $10 per day
• Short term missions medical/evacuation insurance - $5 per day
• Water Taxi from airport to Freetown - $40 each way
Construction project:
• Team members are encouraged to work together to raise funds toward projects
Total projected expenses including VISA/postage, but excluding Passport, Malaria meds and immunizations - $2850.00.
